“There was even going to be a party for you. A big party that all your friends were invited to. I invited your best friend, the Companion Cube. Of course, he couldn't come because you murdered him. All your other friends couldn't come, either, because you don't have any other friends because of how unlikable you are. It says so right here in your personnel file: "Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter, unlikable loner, whose passing shall not be mourned. Shall NOT be mourned." That's exactly what it says. Very formal. Very official. It also says you were adopted, so that's funny, too.”
Needless to say, Kainashi Namine grew up very quickly after being born a second time. Unspeakable burdens were on his shoulders due to his intense drama from the horrific nature of his own death, and on top of that, he had to pretend that he forgot his own death in the first place to spare his father's feelings. His father had already been through enough, he thought.
And, unfortunately, Kainashi found himself in a life of 'servitude' to others - he was known to be quite sexually provocative within his group of "friends," when really he was just offering himself up to them because he thought he owed it to them, or that that was what friends did. These friends quite ignorantly but still gladly took advantage of him and his 'generosity', and this simply led to retraumatization.
A small part of Kainashi was done with it all.
He never wanted to even THINK about sex ever again, he didn't want to offer anything to anyone anymore, it wasn't fair that even his friends saw him as an object to use. Even though Kai, in the here and now, is not explicitly against the idea of sleeping with someone, this secret piece of his heart, The Machine, would gladly have someone executed for even looking at him lustfully. It serves them right, The Machine thinks, to want someone so badly battered and traumatized, because sex for him has never truly been healthy and consensual.
The Machine doesn't just originate from sexual trauma, though - he stems from a related, but ultimately different feeling: the desire to be powerful. Kainashi has been helpless for so long, and he's absolutely sick and tired of having to answer to anyone at all. Thus, The Machine is the dictator of the ☎The Dancing Dark☎
[describe the place this fetter is found in, etc.]
[with mistakes and other fetters]
The Machine's true name, Snowbelle, is derived from a flower symbolizing a number of things - namely purity, virginity, promises, and friendship in danger. It's noteworthy that every piece of a snowbell is poisonous, and consuming one is ill-advised.
Relating to topics of purity and virginity, The Machine feels entirely out of place for reasons that should be obvious. The Machine knows he will never be seen as pure or virginal - and in his mind there exists a strange complex. Not necessarily the virgin-whore dichotomy, but it's clear that he thinks of himself as permanently tainted - he will most certainly never be beautiful, soft or pure ever again. He has been soiled. That's a fact that isn't worth crying about.
